The news that he passed away at the young age of 54 is still fresh in our minds, but his achievements in bringing many jewel carvings to the world from Idar-Oberstein had a great impact on the industry. This is a 12ct (!) bicolor quartz (ametrine) with carving added to the back, and the cut surfaces on the front and back create an expression similar to a laminated mirror. In particular, the original warranty card set is a rare collector's item on the market.
